Passing driver snatches couple’s best friend off Interstate 10
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007A bizarre kidnapping in April on a stretch of Interstate 10 between Las Cruces and Deming has left a Washington family devastated.
What makes the incident so unusual is that the victim — while a beloved member of the family — is not human; she’s the family dog. Marla LeClerc, an over-the-road truck driver for Tacoma-based Norwest Express, was in tears Friday as she spoke by phone from her Washington state home about the loss of her best friend
