Size matters at the dog park
Monday, May 12th, 2008My wife and I were trying out a dog park with our Italian Greyhounds and discovered this problem. Some Whippets decided to go after our dogs and it was very scary. After that scary encounter we never let our dogs loose in a dog park. We would find places away from the bigger dogs and it worked out better.
“The big dogs went after him like he was a rabbit,” said John Castle, owner of the small dog.
Recalling news stories about a Pomeranian that was killed by another dog recently in a dog park, he realized, “It could happen to me.”
