Family receives help after house fire
Monday, December 31st, 2007A sad story about a family who lost everything in a house fire, even their Italian Greyhound.
The firefighters found “Rocky,” the family’s 8-year-old miniature Italian greyhound dead on a bed on an upper floor. The 9-pound dog apparently was overcome by smoke.

Animals stolen during pet store break-ins
Friday, October 26th, 2007 Police say several critters were stolen during two burglaries at a Waterloo pet store this week.
Emporium Pets was broken into late Monday or early Tuesday when someone smashed out a door panel and took a 4-foot-long albino corn snake, a foot-long ghost corn snake, a pair of gecko lizards and a 3-month-old Italian Greyhound.
